Hudson Found Guilty of First-Degree Murder, Multiple Other Charges

State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces that Quintae Davouris Hudson, 27, of Jacksonville, was found guilty by a jury of First-Degree Murder, Conspiracy to Commit First-Degree Murder, three counts of Tampering with a Witness, Directing the Activities of a Gang, and Shooting or Throwing Deadly Missiles. Hudson now faces a mandatory life sentence in Florida State Prison. A sentencing hearing is scheduled before the Honorable James H. Daniel on the week of Aug. 14.

According to court documents, testimony, and evidence — including extensive jail calls — presented at trial, this case originated from a 2014 case where Hudson threw a garden stone through a friend’s vehicle window, injuring a child. The incident was witnessed by the security guard of the complex, Michael Wright. Hudson was arrested and charged with that crime.

On March 27, 2016, Easter Sunday, Wright was killed. Hudson was identified as a high-ranking member of the Neighborhood Bloods Rolling 20’s gang and, during his time of incarceration, contacted and conspired with fellow gang members and associates to have Wright killed. Hudson later tampered with additional witnesses in the case against him.

The case was investigated by Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Matthew Polimeni, London Kite, and Thomas Mangan.
