The State Attorney’s Office has concluded its investigation into the officer-involved shooting of Jamee Johnson.

On the afternoon of July 6, 2020, our office issued its conclusion that the shooting death of Jamee Johnson was justified under the law. Attendant to this decision, we rendered a detailed report outlining the facts, evidence, and relevant law in this matter. This report is available at the link below. Our office has undertaken the further and proactive effort of preparing the entire underlying public record for contemporary release so that the public has access to all of the underlying evidence, reports, and witness statements. Our office has also released both the body-worn camera footage without narration as well as the footage in closed caption, so that the public can ascertain every statement made by the individuals in the video footage.
