State Attorney Melissa Nelson today announces that Aria Lynn Westfall, of Jacksonville, was found guilty by a jury of Possession of Place for Trafficking in or Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, and Conspiracy to Traffic in Controlled Substance. Westfall now faces a maximum of 30 years in Florida State Prison. The Honorable Mark Borello will sentence Westfall during a June 2, 2021, hearing.
On March 29, 2019, members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives executed a search warrant on an Arlington home and seized more than 14 pounds of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and money from the residence and associated vehicles. An investigation revealed a multistate drug trafficking operation in which Westfall maintained the finances, initiated money transfers, purchased paraphernalia, and arranged transactions.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Leah Owens and Joe Licandro.
