State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces that a Duval County grand jury has returned indictments charging three defendants with First-Degree Murder.

The grand jury returned First-Degree Murder charges for:

• Mario Fernandez Saldana, S.A. No. 23AH015949AD. Fernandez Saldana also is charged with Conspiracy to Commit First-Degree Murder, Solicitation to Commit a Capital Felony, and Child Abuse. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Christina Stifler.


• Otis Lee Tucker, S.A. No. 22CF059203AD. Tucker also is charged with Tampering With or Fabricating Physical Evidence (Capital Felony). The case is being prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Lauren Anderson.


• Jonathan Wanchik, S.A. No. 22CF063477AD. Wanchik also is charged with Criminal Use of Personal Identification Information of An Individual Younger than 18 Years of Age or 60 Years or Older, and Grand Theft. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Christina Stifler.
