State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces the returns by a Duval County grand jury of indictments charging two defendants with crimes.
The grand jury returned indictments for:
- Dewayne Vicks, 24CF019752AD. Vicks was indicted for Sexual Battery on a Person Less than 12 years of Age. The case will be prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Catie Messinger.
- Justin Curry, 25CF0698295AD. Curry, a juvenile, was indicted for Second-Degree Murder. Two codefendants, Marcavion Lacey (25CF063652AD) and Robert Pope (25CF067458AD) have also separately been charged with Second-Degree Murder. The case will be prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Chris Huband.
