State Attorney Melissa Nelson today announces the arrest of Patrick Lawrence Trottie, 43, of Jacksonville, charged with three counts of Coercion of Commercial Sexual Activity for Human Trafficking.

According to public documents, Trottie committed three counts of coercing commercial sexual activity for human trafficking from Nov. 15, 2016, to Feb. 10, 2017. Trottie was arrested May 30, 2017, in Duval County.

The case has been investigated by Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the FBI, and investigators with the Human Rights Division of the State Attorney’s Office. The case will be prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Erin Wolfson.
