Khayrallah was arrested June 22, 2018, after an investigation found him to have had made written threats against Fourth Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Mark Mahon through the Duval County Clerk of Courts website. After being arrested and post-Miranda, Khayrallah confessed to sending the threats.

The case was investigated by Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and is being prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys David Johnston and Terry Livanos.
