State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces the return by a Duval County grand jury today of indictments charging five defendant with First-Degree Murder.

The grand jury returned First-Degree Murder charges for:

• Hakeem Robinson, S.A. Nos. 21CF011861AD and 20CF045618AD. Robinson was indicted on two counts of First-Degree Murder in two different cases. The 2021 case is being prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Trey Atkinson; the 2020 case is being prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Joel Cooper.


• Abdul Robinson Jr., 21CF037081AD. Robinson Jr. also is charged with Accessory After the Fact. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Joel Cooper.


• Leroy Whitaker, SA. 20CF016827AD. Whitaker also is charged with Home Invasion Robbery and Burglary with Assault or Battery. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Joel Cooper.


• Alberto Rosario Jr., S.A. No. 21CF014641AD. Rosario was indicted on two counts of First-Degree Murder. Rosario also is charged with two counts of Sale or Delivery of Fentanyl, two counts of Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device, and three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Joe Licandro and Annie Maguire.


• Rashaurd Lewis, S.A. Nos. 20CF023035AD and 20CF017840AD. Lewis was indicted on two counts of First-Degree Murder in two different cases. Lewis also is charged with one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Juvenile Delinquent Found to Have Committed a Felony Act in each case. The 20CF023035AD case is being prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Lara Mattina; the 20CF017840AD case is being prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Tom Mangan.
