State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Assistant State Attorney Alan Mizrahi to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Fourth Circuit. Mizrahi was one of 38 new appointees by the governor. The 28 Judicial Nominating Commissions throughout the state are responsible for presenting the governor with recommendations of qualified individuals whom they believe should be appointed to the bench to fill a judicial vacancy.

Mizrahi is the Director of the Homicide Division. He joined the State Attorney’s Office for the Fourth Judicial Circuit in 1997. Mizrahi was appointed to serve on the commission through July 1, 2026.
