State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces that a Duval County jury found Raymond Reeves guilty of the Sale, Manufacture, or Delivery of a Controlled Substance. With the verdict, Reeves faces up to five years in Florida State Prison. The Honorable Tatiana Salvador will sentence Reeves at a later date.

Around 12:30 p.m. Oct. 25, 2023, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit was undercover at a Northside gas station investigating drug dealers. An undercover officer began talking to Reeves, who agreed to sell the officer MDMA for $20. The detective handed over JSO funds and the two went to a nearby motel. Reeves went to one of the motel rooms to get the drugs from another person, then he returned and handed the drugs to the detective. Undercover officers drove Reeves back to the gas station and arrested Reeves on site. The drug deal was audio recorded and Reeves admitted to the crime post-Miranda.

The case was investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and was prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Jessica Russell and Dillon Rheuby.
