State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces that a Duval County jury found Fredrick Parker guilty of Trafficking in Substituted Cathinone; Trafficking in Cocaine; two counts of Lease or Rent for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance; Possession of Controlled Substance Paraphernalia; and Possession of More Than Twenty Grams of Cannabis. With the verdict, Parker faces up to 30 years in Florida State Prison. The Honorable London Kite will sentence Parker during a future hearing.

On March 30, 2023, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Street Level Narcotics Team served a search warrant at a motel on New Kings Road. Detectives arrested Parker as he was exiting a motel room. Detectives searched the two motel rooms Parker was occupying. In the rooms, officers found crack cocaine, multiple bags of pills, baggies of methamphetamine, a scale, beakers, marijuana, and fentanyl. Two guns were also seized during the search.

The case was investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and was prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Shaina Ruth and Jennifer Braunstein.
