State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces the return by a Clay County grand jury today of an indictment charging one individual with two counts of First-Degree Murder.

The grand jury returned the First-Degree Murder charges for:

• Trevor Lee, S.A. No. 25CF046993AC. Lee was indicted on two counts of First-Degree Murder for the Aug. 4, 2025, killing of his parents in Middleburg. Lee’s next court appearance will be 9 a.m. Aug. 19, 2025, in Clay County. The case will be prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Pam Hazel, Ashley Terry, and Jamie Cona.
