State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces that Brett Pincomb pleaded guilty to five counts of Sexual Battery; two counts of Attempted Sexual Battery; Aggravated Battery; Kidnapping; and False Imprisonment for four separate attacks against women. Per the negotiated plea, the Honorable Tatiana Salvador sentenced Pincomb to 40 years in Florida State Prison followed by 10 years of sex offender probation and a lifelong designation as a sexual predator.

Between May 13 and May 15, 2026, Pincomb coerced four women online to meet him with plans to rape them when they arrived at his Deerwood apartment. In each instance, Pincomb threatened the women with a knife and threatened to hurt or kill them if they did not comply. On May 13 and 14, Pincomb raped two women at his apartment and threatened to kill or harm them if they did not comply. Both women had originally met Pincomb on an escort dating site. On May 15, one victim arrived at the apartment complex and followed Pincomb into his apartment where he once again pulled a knife on her. The victim fought back and grabbed the knife, cutting her hand. She was able to leave the apartment with the knife in hand to provide to police as evidence. Another victim on May 15 arrived at the apartment complex and believed she was meeting someone else. Pincomb followed her into the elevator and demanded she remove her clothes at knifepoint. The woman was able to deflect and call for help using the emergency button in the elevator.

The case was investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Jessica Russell.
