Jury Finds Frank Guilty of Trafficking in Methamphetamine

State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces a Duval County jury found Gregory Frank guilty of Trafficking in Methamphetamine. With the verdict, Frank faces up to 30 years in Florida State Prison. The Honorable Mark Borello will sentence Frank at a later date.

Around 10 p.m. on Oct. 21, 2025, officers pulled Frank over for speeding on Beach Boulevard. Frank did not have his seatbelt on, was acting nervous, and shook while talking to the officer. The officer had K9 officers respond as backup. Because Frank had a recent drug arrest and was acting nervous, officers conducted a K9 sniff on Frank’s car. The K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics in the car and officers searched the car. They found a plastic bag containing meth inside a cigarette box in the center console. While standing with the officers, Frank reached into his pockets and dropped a baggie of methamphetamine on the ground; officers arrested Frank and found the additional meth. A trafficking amount is considered 14 or more grams of meth. Frank had 15.6 grams inside his car and 3.9 grams in the baggie he dropped on the ground.

The case was investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Joseph Ciliberto and Rachel Duckworth.
