State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces that a Duval County jury found Jerry Rodiguez guilty of six counts of Possession of Photographs/Sexual Performance of a Child. With the verdict, Rodriguez faces up to five years in Florida State Prison for each count. The Honorable Anthony Salem will sentence Rodriguez at a later date.

On June 2, 2025, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into Rodriguez after he was identified as a suspect who recorded a female neighbor through a bathroom window in her home. Rodriguez’s cellphone was seized and searched, which uncovered numerous images of child sexual abuse material.

The case was investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Joy Whitmore and Fallon Hinkley.
