State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces today that Lauren Eileen Carr, 58, of Bryceville, was found guilty by a jury of Organized Fraud. Carr now faces a maximum of 30 years in Florida State Prison. A sentencing hearing is scheduled before the Honorable Russell L. Healey on Jan. 16, 2018.

From 2008-15, Carr owned a business, Stazac Management Co., which managed several homeowner associations. During that time, Carr diverted more than $1.5 million for her and her family’s everyday personal use and paying off debt. A whistleblower alerted law enforcement upon discovering the fraud taking place at the family-owned and operated small business.

The case was investigated by Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and was successfully prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys David Johnston and Terry Livanos.
