State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces that Tony Gerald Ellison, 52, of Jacksonville, pleaded guilty to two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation. Pursuant to the plea to the judge, Ellison now faces a maximum of 30 years in prison with a 25-year mandatory minimum sentence in Florida State Prison followed by sex offender probation for life. Ellison will be sentenced the week of Nov. 27, 2017.

The victim was under the age of 12 years old and reported Ellison touched her private parts while he was watching her. The victim further stated Ellison made her touch his private parts as well. This happened more than one time, according to the victim, and occurred in both of their homes. Ellison made several incriminating statements during a police interview that corroborated the victim’s representations during the case.

The case was investigated by Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and successfully prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Cameron French and Ashley Young.
