State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces today that Patrick Louviere Jr., of Jacksonville, was found guilty by a jury of Battery and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Louviere now faces a maximum of 16 years in Florida State Prison. A sentencing hearing is scheduled before the Honorable Mark Borello on April 15, 2019.

On May 25, 2018, Louviere approached the victim in a parking lot and convinced her to get into his vehicle and drove to a secluded area in the Panama Park area. After he parked the vehicle, Louviere got into an argument with the victim. He then pulled out a gun and struck the victim several times, causing injuries to her head. She was able to escape and provide information to law enforcement, which located Louviere’s truck and found evidence of the crime.

The case was investigated by Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and is being prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Alex Weaver and Lair Hall
