State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces that a Duval County jury found Dion Perkins Jr. guilty of Aggravated Stalking (Domestic). Following the verdict, the Honorable Mark Borello sentenced Perkins to 29 months in Florida State Prison followed by 30 months of probation.
On April 1, 2026, the victim told police Perkins had repeatedly violated an injunction for protection against domestic violence. In his most recent contact, Perkins told the victim he did not care about going back to jail. A temporary injunction was served in June 2025, and a final injunction was consented to in a November 2025 hearing. Perkins violated the injunction twice before it was finalized and twice served jail time.
The case was investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Jackie Moyer and Kierstyn Jennings.
