State Attorney Melissa Nelson today announces that Blair Terry, of Jacksonville, was found guilty by a jury of First-Degree Murder in the death of Eddie Brown. Terry now faces a mandatory sentence of life in Florida State Prison. The Honorable Meredith Charbula will set a sentencing hearing for Terry during the week of May 31, 2021.

On Nov. 7, 2016, on the Westside of Jacksonville, Brown entered the front passenger seat of a car in which Terry was a back passenger. During this time, Terry shot Brown in the head and pushed him outside the car on Ramona Boulevard, where he was found by a passing driver. Brown was taken to an area hospital but died from his injuries.

The case was investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Dan Skinner and Jonathan Sacks.
