State Attorney Melissa Nelson today announces that the Honorable Linda F. McCallum sentenced Sion Khadeem Henry, 26, of Jacksonville to life in prison for two counts of Sexual Battery and one count Robbery following a sentencing hearing that took place March 31, 2017.

Henry entered a plea on February 13, 2017. According to court documents, the victim was walking with her 7-month-old child from the Publix located in Bartram Park when she was attacked by Henry. Henry threatened to harm the victim’s child and then sexually assaulted her along a wooded path behind the store and the victim’s apartment. Evidence collected through the victim’s rape kit came back matched to Henry.

The case was investigated by Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Justin W. Dixon and Coreylyn Crawford.
