State Attorney Melissa Nelson announces that a Duval County jury found Jordan Palm guilty of Soliciting a Child via a Computer and Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communications Device. With the verdict, Palm faces up to 10 years in Florida State Prison. The Honorable Mark Borello will sentence Palm at a later date.

On May 16, 2025, Palm assumed a pseudo-name and messaged a girl on an online hookup platform. The girl identified herself as being 13 years old, which Palm acknowledged before sending sexually explicit messages, pictures, and videos to her. Palm was 37 years old at the time of his crimes. Palm, who lived in Texas, indicated he would travel to Jacksonville at the end of the month and wanted to meet up with the child to have sex. The person Palm interacted with was actually an undercover officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, who was conducting an undercover chat operation to catch sex predators.

The case was investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Shaina Ruth and Joy Whitmore.
