A Duval County jury found Terry Wright guilty of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Great Bodily Injury; False Imprisonment; Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon; three counts of Aggravated Assault; Simple Battery; and Grand Theft Auto.

The victim was 12 years old at the time of the crime. 

A Duval County jury found Anthony Brooks guilty of Second-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon for shooting and killing his nephew in 2024.

Owen Cosme was sentenced to four life sentences and an additional 25 years for a 2021 triple murder and a 2020 murder.

The ruling and fee award comes after a day-long hearing and success at the trial and appellate court levels.
